Last year we fully restored this 1983 Jeep CJ7. It’s back in for some maintenance so we decided we’d give you a little tour.
When this Jeep came to us it was in rough shape. The original body was so rusted that it ended up being more cost-effective to replace all the panels rather than trying to repair them. In fact, we really didn’t have a choice in some places. I don’t have before photos but I do have a photo of it once we got the new body panels shaped up and ready for paint.
Once the new panels were fitted together and secured, it was time for paint! The customer decided to go with this really awesome shade of royal blue.
We also installed a Rough Country Lift kit, new ring and pinion, rebuilt the driveshaft, and upgraded to a brand new MSD Ignition System.
The ‘83 CJ7 also received some new 33” BF Goodrich tires and new chrome wheels.
In addition to the paint and body work, we also did all new interior including seats, painted dash, and we even installed an awesome JBL Bluethooth speaker.
