This Saturday is one of DigNight’s largest No-Prep races of the year out at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown. We have to get the Camaro ready to roll and get everything ready for the track.
However, there’s a kink in our plans…
When you search the internet for different exhaust you’ll typically find the same 5 brands mentioned: Corsa, Borla, Magnaflow, and Flowmaster. They all bring something different to the table whether its a different sound or a more efficient flow. The main result you can expect from aftermarket exhaust is sound. However, some will also yield a gain in horsepower (5-10%) although it’s not usually enough of an increase that you’d be able to feel.
When it comes to serious power-adders there's two main contenders: twin turbos and superchargers. While the two are very different there are some similarities. The main similarity between twin turbos and a supercharger is that they both force air into the motor in order to create more power. To put it simply, the more air forced into your motor, the more power it will make.
When it comes to vehicle maintenance there's a few rules-of-thumb that we go by. For example, you're supposed to get an oil change every 3,000 miles (usually). However, knowing when it's time for a brake job isn't just a matter of miles. There's no an exact schedule for brake maintenance because it mostly depends on how and where you drive.
If you’ve browsed the internet for any car mods at all then you know that there are hundreds if not thousands of options to choose from. It can get overwhelming especially if you know what gains you want but aren’t sure how to get there.
We simplified the endless options into 4 packages. These packages are what we know works and what is requested the most by our customers. We’ve even tried them out on our own shop cars and hit the track to see how the packages perform. Keep in mind that these packages aren’t set in stone. We can mix, match, and customize anything for you.
We noticed that there were a couple ducks hanging around by our storm drain. They stayed there for a while which we thought was odd. Then a customer walked in and said he heard some baby ducks in the drain. Without hesitation we grabbed a box, some chains, and the forklift and operation: save the ducks commenced!
When it comes to classic cars the first and biggest question before the build begins is whether to keep it original or do a restomod?
Nowadays a lot of the classic cars out there have been inherited by a family member and they have no idea what to do with it or where to start. We have a lot of customers that started out this way. The vehicle is sentimental and they want to keep it in the family and be able to enjoy it.
On the flip side, there's many classics that have been purchased by various people and are far removed from the original owners. These are the cars that typically turn out to be the window-shakin', engine-roarin', bad to the bone rides.
Whatever story the car has, we've brought countless classics back to life and have given them a rumble they never had!
